Guided tours for schools

At the moment there are five types of guided tours, all in the Islamic Collection:
•What is Islamic art?
•Miniature painting and the world it reveals
•The Arabic script
•Mythical creatures in Islamic art
•Islam – the religion seen through art
Teaching on all tours is conducted at the level of the pupils. Questions relevant to the area of focus of the classes/groups are most welcome, before, during, and after the visit.
Arriving at the museum
Upon arrival at 10:00 or 12:30 we meet in the cloakroom. Lockers for bags require a 10-krone coin.
From the cloakroom we walk together to the 2nd floor, where the class/group is introduced to the David Collection and to the theme chosen. Classes/groups of more than 15 persons are then divided into two groups – each with a guide. The tours take place on the 3rd and 4th floors, where the Islamic collection is housed. If possible, classes of more than 15 pupils should be accompanied by two teachers.
The whole session is expected to take 1.5 hours.
