Arriving at the museum
The David Collection follows the Danish Health Authorities’ corona guidelines for school visits. If current precautions change, offers for school visits will be updated accordingly.
When a class arrives at the museum, its teacher is requested to come alone to the information desk for registration. The meeting place is in the the cloakroom. Lockers for bags require a 10-krone coin. There is hand disinfection gel at the entrance to the museum that must be used upon arrival. In the exhibitions, pupils are requested to keep the entrance and exit open to passage and take other guests’ movements into consideration, since there are many narrow areas in the exhibitions.
From the cloakroom we will walk together to the 2nd floor, where the class/group is introduced to the David Collection and to the theme chosen. Classes/groups of more than 15 persons are divided into two groups – each with a guide. Classes of more than 15 pupils should therefore be accompanied by two teachers. The tours take place on the 3rd and 4th floors, where the Islamic collection is housed.
The whole session is expected to take 1.5 hours.
